Who is she?
Goodwin Creek lavender (aka Lavandula x ginginsii) is a hearty heat-loving and drought resistant perennial that usually blooms twice a year - once in the early summer and once in the late Fall.
Although there are many types of lavender, we love Goodwin Creek for it’s silver green leaves and fragrant flowers and foliage!

Like other varieties, Goodwin Creek is very sensitive to overwatering and will have a hard time recovering from being waterlogged, so try a less is more approach in terms of quantity (1/4 cup should do!) and let its soil dry completely between waterings.
Light
Goodwin creek lavender is a sun worshipper, so park this plant about 3 feet away from a bright and sunny window if you’re keeping it indoors. Apartment dwelling? A sunny patio or balcony is also a top choice!
Flower Power
Encourage flowering by pruning Goodwin Creek lavender after it flowers in the late spring/early summer!
Take Root
Potted or planted in the ground, Goodwin creek lavender thrives in USDA Zones 6-9 and tops out at around 2-4 feet wide and tall.
If you call a cooler or warmer climate home, consider keeping your lavender potted so you can easily move it indoors during super hot or or super cold weather.
