Farmgirl Flowers x Albertsons Companies

Introducing our Albertsons Companies partnership

A message from Farmgirl Founder & CEO, Christina Stembel

Hey there.

Christina here - the founder and CEO of Farmgirl Flowers.

While I like to think that my mom is the real farm girl out of the two of us, I also grew up on acres of corn and soybeans out in rural Indiana. From about as early as I can remember, both my mom and dad always taught me the value of a dollar, and how to stretch even a shoestring budget so far that you could practically see through it.

All of those lessons eventually grew into a homegrown education that I've pulled on time and time again to turn Farmgirl into the business it is today - and all without a penny of outside investment. It's also become a sort of north star for me, one that has made me want to create not just a nationwide flower delivery company, but an accessible one, too.

While I am grateful each and every time you come to Farmgirl to celebrate your best friend's birthday, or your coworker's big new promotion, I also know that we aren't always an option when it comes time to celebrate something just as important: yourself. Which is why I am so excited to announce our partnership with Albertsons Companies.

Albertsons Companies' commitment to their flower departments, as well as their dedication to quality and design, made them an easy first (and, really, only) choice to partner with for this new collection. With their presence across the United States, Albertsons Companies will bring the Farmgirl Flowers you know and love right to your weekly shopping trip at an affordable price.

I hope you love all the bouquets as much as we loved designing them.

xx,

Christina

The Farmgirl Flowers for Albertsons Companies collection is currently in select Safeway, Jewel-Osco, United Supermarkets, Kings Food Markets, and other Albertsons Companies stores. It isn't in every store in those banners yet, and it isn't in every Albertsons Companies banner — so a store in your area may not be carrying it even if the chain is on the list.

Trim half an inch to an inch off the stems at an angle before they go in water, use a clean vase, and change the water every couple of days. Daily water changes — or as often as you can remember — are one of the best ways to extend your bouquet's vase life.

Keep your flowers out of direct sun and other heat sources, away from drafts, and away from ripening fruit, which releases ethylene gas and ages flowers faster.

No. Farmgirl Flowers and Albertsons Companies are partners, not one company. Farmgirl Flowers was founded in 2010 by Christina Stembel in San Francisco, California, and is still 100% woman-owned and bootstrapped today.
