Yam Session

• What flowers are in Yam Session? Yam Session is a centerpiece-sized vase arrangement featuring a double-dozen farm-fresh flowers plus a flourish of fresh foliage. Expect peonies, roses, spray roses, alstroemeria, and mums, with amaranth, scabiosa pods, and wheat for texture, in a petal palette of burgundy, caramel, and burnt orange.
• Why are there peonies in the fall? The peonies in Yam Session are grown in Chile, where peony season lands during North America’s autumn.
• How long does it take peonies to bloom? Peonies ship in a lollipop-like budded form which can take a day to or to blossom awesomely. Pro tip: If you're ordering for an event, have your peonies arrive 1-2 days early to make sure they're blooming on the big day. In a hurry? Warm vase water and a fresh stem trim can help accelerate the process.
• How long do peonies last? Although vase life varies by varietal most peonies average about 3-5 days of vase life once they've blossomed. Excessive heat and dirty vase water are the biggest enemies of peony longevity, so do your best to keep your vase in clean water and away from hot kitchen, heating vents, and bright windows. 
• Will every arrangement look like the photo? We will cycle through several red peony varieties during Chile's peony season, so shades can and will range from crimson to deep burgundy to orangey red. We cannot accommodate requests for specific shades of red or peony varieties. Please note: If a specific red tone is very important to you or your event, we recommend shopping at a local florist with whatever item(s) you're trying to match your flowers to. 
• How should I style this arrangement in the vase it ships with? Although this arrangement arrives designed, you (or your recipient) must take a few inches off the stems so the flowers sit properly in the vase. Our favorite rule of thumb is to trim off enough length so that the lowest flower in the arrangement sits at or just above the lip of the vase. Psst – don't forget to remove the tie holding the design in place after styling in the vase!
• What vase is included? This arrangement ships with a clear glass pyramid-shaped vase that stands about 5" tall, measures 5.5" at the base, and has about a 3" wide opening.
• How can I make this vase arrangement last as long as possible? Change the vase water daily or as often as possible, remove any dead or dying flowers, and keep the arrangement away from real or artificial sources of heat like heater vents and hot stoves.
