At Farmgirl, we talk a lot about grit - that drive, the "indomitable pluck," that gets the hard stuff done. For us, grit is progress, not perfection. It's the resilience to face mistakes or obstacles, learn from them, and then get better (and then do it all over again the next day). And when the going gets tough, sometimes you need a little inspiration to get the grit going. That's when we turn to one of our "fight songs" - like Dolly Parton’s “Light of a Clear Blue Morning!" - and turn it up real loud.
As Dolly says, grit and lipstick are the two things you should never leave home without. Well, we're skipping the lipstick RN (because lipstick and masks do not mix) but we’ll take her cues on grit with "Light of a Clear Blue Morning!" Few songs renew our spirits like this one can (10/10 would recommend singing to it in the shower, car, or wherever you find your alone time these days). And we can almost *see* the sunrise Dolly sings about in the soft blue and hazy coral tones of this 25-stem burlap-wrapped bouquet. So here's to some Dolly and some flower fueled motivational mornings - for you, or whoever in your life needs it!
