• Why are there peonies in November? The peonies in this bouquet are Chilean peonies, grown in the Southern Hemisphere, where the seasons run opposite ours — so their peony season lands during our late fall. 
• Why are my peonies still closed? Peonies may arrive in bud on purpose and open over the following days once they're in water. Think of it as a slow reveal: give them a fresh trim, a clean vase and a little patience, and those tight little buds turn into the big, ruffled blooms you were promised. Not exactly — the dictionary says russet is a reddish-brown, and this bouquet leans dusty rose, rust, blush and burgundy with a kiss of peach. We decided that's russet-adjacent enough to make the name work (and Mother Nature doesn't grow to Pantone, so colors can vary from bouquet to bouquet).
• How does this bouquet ship? This bouquet ships hand-tied, wrapped in paper and our signature burlap, finished with a ribbon and zip-tied inside a Farmgirl branded shipping box. As soon as possible after delivery, unbox the bouquet, remove all the wrapping and give the stems a quick trim before popping it into a vase from your private collection. Psst — don't forget to release the twine holding the design in place!
• What size vase is best for the Little Miss Russet with Peonies bouquet? We like a cylinder-shaped vase that stands about 7–8" tall with a 4–5" wide opening.
• What should I do if my chrysanthemums arrive with nets? Some of the chrysanthemums in this bouquet may arrive with a protective net. Gently remove it after you've styled the bouquet in a vase.
