Fresh Daffodil Bouquets Delivered
Daffodils are classic spring flowers that signal the arrival of warmer days. Our daffodil bouquets feature grower's choice selections, which means your arrangement could include a single variety or a mix of different types depending on what's freshest at harvest. Color combinations vary and may include traditional yellows, whites, creams, or multi-toned varieties.
Daffodils arrive in budded form to maximize their vase life. This is intentional so you can enjoy watching them open and bloom over several days. Once you unbox your arrangement, trim stems and place them in a vase about 6-7 inches tall with a 6-7 inch opening. Let your daffodils rehydrate and they'll perk up within hours.
Some of our favorite specialty daffodil varieties are naturally quite fragrant (which we love!), which makes for a lovely Spring moment. Just be cautious when sending daffodil flowers online to those with sensitive noses.
How to Care for Your Daffodil Bouquet
When daffodils arrive: Trim stems at a 45-degree angle and place in fresh, cool water immediately. Use a vase that's 6-7 inches tall with a 6-7 inch opening for best support. Remove any foliage below the waterline.
Let them bloom: Daffodils arrive as tight buds and will open over 2-4 days. This is normal and gives you maximum vase life. Be patient as they unfurl naturally.
Important note about daffodil sap: Daffodils release a sap that can shorten the vase life of other flowers. If you want to mix daffodils with other blooms, it's encouraged to let them sit in their own water for 24 hours first, then rinse stems thoroughly before combining.
Daily care: Change water every 2-3 days and re-trim stems. Keep arrangements in a cool spot away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
Vase life: Daffodils typically last 5-7 days with proper care.
Are Daffodils Safe for Pets?
Daffodils are toxic to both cats and dogs. All parts of the plant contain toxins, with the bulb being most dangerous. Ingestion can cause vomiting, diarrhea, drooling, and in severe cases, heart and respiratory issues.
If you have pets at home, browse our pet-friendly flower collection for safe alternatives like roses, sunflowers, and daisies.
If your pet ingests any part of a daffodil, contact your veterinarian immediately.
