White Roselilies

• What is a roselily? A roselily or rose lily is a double-flowered Oriental hybrid lily with layers of rose-like petals where the pollen-heavy stamens would normally be. That typically means no pollen, a softer scent than a classic Oriental lily, and a longer vase life. Translation: no orange stains on your tablecloth!
• What should I expect when I’m expecting white roselilies? White roselilies arrive as ten loose stems with mostly closed buds, ready for a quick trim and a vase from your private collection. Each stem averages three or more blooms, so you’re looking at 30+ blossoms once they open. We like a vase about 8" tall with a 4" opening, which gives everyone room to stretch their petals.
• How long does it take roselilies to bloom? Roselilies can take up to a few days to fully bloom. If you’re ordering for a special event, choose a delivery date 2–3 days before the big day so your buds are blossoming right on cue. In a hurry? Remove any remaining foliage, give the stems a fresh trim, and refresh the vase with warm water to speed things along.
• Do roselilies smell like regular lilies? Roselilies are more subtly scented than a classic Oriental lily, so they’re an easy pick for dinner tables, nightstands, and anyone who finds a Stargazer a little much.
• What occasions are white roselilies good for? White roselilies suit almost any occasion that calls for something quietly elegant. They make a thoughtful sympathy flower delivery, a natural fit for DIY wedding flowers, and a housewarming gift that doesn’t need a gift receipt. They’re also great for the very legitimate occasion of wanting your living room to look like a magazine spread.
• Are roselilies safe for pets? No. According to the ASPCA, lilies are highly toxic to cats, and roselilies are lilies; being pollen-free doesn’t change that.
