"Rouge Awakening" features eight stems of burgundy Oregon-grown lilium orientalis plus a perfectly paired metal vase. Each stem features two to five blooms per stem so expect an average of 16-30 blooms per bouquet!
What does the vase look like that comes with this bouquet? The vase included with shipment is a moonstone-toned sphere-shaped metal vase that measures about 7" at its widest point.
What is a lily anther and why should I remove it? Once blossomed, lilies are notorious pollen droppers but prevention is the key. As soon as each bud starts to open, use your flower clippers, scissors, or a tissue to remove the anthers – the fuzzy looking red/orange things that stick out from the center of the flower. Your white tableclothes and shirt sleeves will thank you later!
How long does it take lilies to bloom? Lilies ship in bud form (they sort of look like little umbrellas) and may take several days to open. In a hurry? Trim the stems and place in warm (not hot) vase water. Rinse and repeat!
Is this arrangement safe for pets? According to the ASPCA, many of the flowers and foliage we and other florists use aren’t safe for pets but lilies are especially toxic. Keep you and yours furry friends safe by keeping “Pearl Two” out of their reach or behind closed doors.
