“Mystery Box: 25 CA-grown Ranuncs” is a bouquet featuring a double dozen (plus one) grower's choice Golden State-grown ranunculus! California grown ranunculus season usually starts right after Valentine's Day and runs until just before Mother's Days so get 'em while we got 'em!
What's grower's choice? Grower's choice means which varieties and colors we send will be a surprise assortment based on what's ready in the field! That might mean a bunch of a single color or an assortment of two or more colors! Sorry, we cannot accommodate specific requests. We recommend ordering as often as possible to experience the full range our farm partner has to offer!
How long does it take ranunculus to bloom? Ranunculus arrive in a budded form that need a little water, time, and TLC to pop, so if you’re ordering this bouquet for a special event, we recommend choosing a delivery date a day or two before the big day.
Why do I do about ranunculus' foliage? Although we ship ranunculus with their foliage intact (they’re happiest when processed as little as possible prior to shipping), it’s important to remove any leaves that fall below the vase water line.
What's up with the little green buds on ranunculus? Ranunculus tend to produce laterals. You’ll recognize these as the tiny green buds growing off some of your stems! Depending on their size and location on the stem we may remove these prior to sending - or we may leave them on. If your stems arrive with these on and you don’t care for the look of them you can remove them much the same as the foliage! If you like their look (and we do!), you can leave them on or remove them and style them separately with a more fully bloomed stem or two in a bud vase. Laterals will not bloom, but we love the whimsy and movement they add to all ranunculus arrangements!
